All registered Pharmacy Benefit Managers are requested to transition to an electronic audit process in order to avoid unnecessary risk 和 maintain social distancing, 和 extended audit deadlines when possible.

First responders, health care workers, 和 others that contract COVID-19 due to work-related exposure would be eligible for workers’ compensation benefits under ope体育手机版 law.
OIR reminds insurers of applicable statutes regarding workers’ compensation insurance 和 expects workers’ compensation insurers to comply with all of the provisions of ope体育手机版’s Workers’ Compensation Law 和 will take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance.

The OIR issued Informational Memor和um OIR-20-04M to all insurers 和 entities regulated by the office to provide general guidance on the treatment of policyholders as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to protect Floridians. Guidance within this memor和um includes:
Leniency on Premium Payments
Regulated entities are encouraged, when prudently possible, to be flexible with premium payments in order to avoid a lapse in coverage. Regulated entities are encouraged to only consider cancellation of policies if all possible efforts to work with 消费者 to continue coverage have been exhausted.
Removing Exclusions on Certain Personal Auto Exclusions
Many insureds may be temporarily utilizing their personal automobile for purposes that might otherwise be considered commercial use. Regulated entities are encouraged to consider allowing such use for insureds, provided that such use is limited to the duration of the Emergency Orders.
Underwriting 和 Claims Inspections
Regulated entities, 代理, 消费者, 和 employers are strongly encouraged to explore virtual options for underwriting 和 adjusting claims in lieu of in-person property inspections 和 for premium audits of employers’ records.

Underst和ing recommended COVID-19 prevention 和 treatment measures may disrupt normal business operations, OIR issued Informational Memor和um OIR-20-03M directing all insurers 和 entities regulated by OIR to review 和 update their Business Continuity Plans 和/or Continuity of Operation Plans immediately. The plans must provide a framework for the continuation of company operations, including key insurance functions such as policy issuance, premium collection, claims adjustment 和 payment 和 policyholder service. The continuity plans should also account for DOH 和 CDC guidance surrounding COVID-19, including executive orders issued at the state 和 national level.

Due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, please be advised that the deadline to report claims data for the Assignment of Benefits (AOB) Data Call has been extended until June 1, 2020. OIR is also waiving the affidavit requirement within the data call.
The Quarterly Supplemental Reporting (QUASR) filing deadlines remain unchanged. QUASR is a tool the OIR uses to monitor current trends in the property insurance market in ope体育手机版. 作为一个结果, OIR asks that companies continue to timely submit QUASR data according to its longst和ing 和 pre-established schedule.
